FINNCHAM Austria gehört zu den ältesten Handelskammern in Österreich, sie wurde als Handelsgilde bereits 1969 gegründet. Beide Länder haben über die letzten Jahrzehnte enge Wirtschaftsbeziehungen geknüpft – und das mit großem Erfolg! Das 50-jährige Jubiläum war daher ein besonderer Anlass, der entsprechend gewürdigt wurde.

Mehr als 100 Gäste kamen am 6. Juni 2019 zur großen Jubiläumsfeier. Gefeiert wurde im noblen Weingut am Reisenberg in Grinzing, hoch über den Hügeln von Wien.

Offiziell eröffnet wurde der Abend durch H.E., Botschafterin Pirkko Hämäläinen. Danach folgte ein spannendes Referat mit dem Titel „Finnlands Wirtschaft im Wandel der Zeit“. Vortragender war niemand geringer als der Aufsichtsratspräsident von Business Finland, Pertti Korhonen.

Als weiteren Höhepunkt darf man getrost die nachfolgende Diskussionsrunde bezeichnen. Unter der Moderation von Kurier Herausgeber Helmut Brandstätter diskutierten leitende Manager finnischer Firmen in Österreich leidenschaftlich zu diesen Themen: Technologie & Innovation, Bildung, allgemein Trends sowie Mentalitätsunterschiede im täglichen Business.

Sehr emotional gestaltete sich danach der Auftritt von Sopran Emilia Vesalainen-Pallas (Klavier: Esa Ylönen). Sie begeisterte trotz Leichtigkeit mit unglaublicher Gesangsstärke und Präzision.
